With New York Fashion Week coming to a close today, we can’t wait for our share of all the Autumn/Winter 2013 action at London Fashion Week. We have put together top 10 list of London Fashion Week shows that we’re most excited about, with pictures from the brands’ SS13 shows to get you in the mood!
10. Mulberry: Sunday 17th February
The British heritage brand always gets it right in terms of colour palettes each season, with SS13 being no exception. Watch out for some of your favourite handbag designs being showcased alongside the brand’s ready-to-wear line.
9. House of Holland: Saturday 16th February
Henry Holland has described his AW13 collection as being inspired by “raving nanas, disco Sally and Summer of Love ’89“, so we can’t wait to see what the enfante terrible of London has in store! We’re sure it will involve bold colour and plenty of tongue-in-cheek humour.
8. JW Anderson Women: Monday 18th February
Known to mix punk and luxe in his collections, the designer always produces slick and achingly cool collections. We love him even more since his collaborations with Topshop, leaving his distinctive mark on the high street megabrand.
7. Thomas Tait: Saturday 16th February
The Canadian fashion designer, who is known for his clean and understated structural designs, as well as his focus on silhouettes, will be showing in London. The new line is said to be inspired by a “teenage mutant cosmic disco trip” – intrigued? We sure are.
6. Jasper Conran: Saturday 16th February
The Autumn/Winter 2013 collection from Jasper Conran is inspired by his desire for simplicity with mixed layers and tonal colour. We can’t wait to see what he has to showcase at LFW, especially after his last collection for SS13 which was bold and vibrant.
5. Meadham Kirchhoff: Tuesday 19th February
Meadham Kirchoff catwalk shows are adored for their unapologetic theatricality. We can’t wait to see what mood the design duo are in for AW13 after visual extravaganza of SS13.
4. Topshop Unique: Monday 18th February
The high street brand’s premium line always anticipates the hottest trends – with a twist. This is why we can’t wait to see the Topshop Unique AW13 collection, which now has former Vogue staffer Kate Phelan at the creative helm.
3. Holly Fulton: Saturday 16th February
With her bold and bright SS13 collection last LFW, we can’t wait to see her latest digital prints this time around. The Autumn/Winter 2013 lineup, which is said to be inspired by Marais nights, will be much darker – we’re intrigued.
2. Jonathan Saunders: Sunday 17th February
A master of print and colour, Jonathan Saunders always gets it right with his favourite A-line shift dresses and tailored suits. We hope to see more of what we saw in the SS13 collection, with winter-appropriate colour palettes and fabrics.
1. Burberry Prorsum: Sunday 17th February
This British heritage brand never puts a foot out of place, especially with Cara Delevingne on the catwalk and Christopher Bailey directing proceedings. Maybe we can expect to see Romeo Beckham on the front row? Watch this space…
