Who is Arsenal target and ‘new Jack Wilshere’ Daniel Crowley?

England v Russia - UEFA European Under-17 Championship: Elite Round
but who exactly is the player dubbed the new Jack Wilshere?

Who is he?
Crowley is a 15-year-old midfielder who has come through the famed Aston Villa academy, where he is rated as one of the best players they’ve produced in recent years.
He has been in and around the England set-up for years, and played for the Under-16 team aged just 14, and is currently part of the Under-17 side.
What makes him so good?
Crowley is that rarest of things for an English footballer: a technical, agile and confident pass-master with great vision, who loves to control a match and find gaps in between defenders.
He plays more like a Spainish or Brazilian player, and that’s exactly why he stands out. Aston Villa have already invited him to first-team training, and with his ability on the ball and good head on his shoulders, he has all the tools to be a top talent.
Why do Arsenal want him?
Why wouldn’t Arsenal want him? He is widely considered one of the best prospects in the country, and with the Gunners continuing their drive for English talent, he fits the bill perfectly.
Crowley’s tiki-taka style also matches the demands of Arsene Wenger, and as harsh as it sounds, he is more likely to play fluid football at the Emirates than down at Villa Park.
Who else wants him?
Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea – the usual suspects – but there have been some reports that Italian sides including Juventus might be an option.
He’ll cost a bomb though, right?
Well, in terms of youth transfers, yes. Arsenal will likely fork out at least £1million to get Crowley, which despite not being a huge amount on the face of it, it’s buying potential, not proven class.
Most young players move clubs for what Fifa call ‘training compensation’ which is usually around £200,000, so Crowley will be pricy compared to those deals, but if his career takes off, £1million would be a snip.
