Spurs move closer to Leandro Damiao capture as Internacional admit he could leave

Tottenham transfer target Leandro Damiao is set to leave Internacional in the summer, fuelling speculation over a switch to White Hart Lane.
Spurs tracked the Brazilian international throughout the summer but to no avail, with Internacional also claiming the club turned down a bid from Tottenham in January.
However Internacional’s director of football, Luis Cesar Souto de Moura, now admits the 23-year-old is almost certain to attract too much attention to remain with the club beyond the end of the season.
‘Leandro Damiao is indeed the player that is most likely to leave Internacional, especially because foreign clubs are interested,’ he said.
‘Damiao is the player of the moment, everyone is seeing that. He is a great player, he’s very special.’
Damiao was part of the Brazilian side which finished runners-up to Mexico at the London 2012 Olympics and is expected to fetch at least a €20m fee, with French giants
