David Beckham says he is ‘very excited’ at the prospect of making his Paris Saint-Germain debut against Marseille in one of the biggest games in the Ligue 1 calendar.
Beckham has been undergoing a personalised training regime since joining PSG three weeks ago, but joined the first-team squad on Wednesday and has now been passed fit to play.
The 37-year-old former England captain is unlikely to start the clash with Marseille, , but he says he is excited at just being involved.
‘For me, it is very exciting to play in another very special match,’ said Beckham.

‘I have played in a lot of big matches in my career, games like AC Milan against Inter, Real Madrid against Barcelona, and the Galaxy against Chivas.’
Around 300 journalists have reportedly requested accreditation to cover the game, with millions expected to tune in just to watch Beckham make his bow.
PSG will be hoping to extend their lead at the top of the French Ligue 1 table, with Lyon just three points behind them in second place.
