Arsenal 1-3 Bayern Munich: Player ratings

Arsenal show their dejection after conceding a goal
After another dismal night at the Emirates, Metro runs the rule over each player in Arsenal’s Champions League defeat against Bayern Munich.
Arsenal:
Wojciech Szczesny 4/10
A poor parry gave Muller his second and was lucky to get away with another later on.
Bacary Sagna 6
Got forward regularly and kept Ribery at bay.
Laurent Koscielny 5
Lacked the command and authority to deal with the dangerous Munich strikeforce.
Per Mertesacker 5
Solid when called upon directly, but lacked shape with Koscielny from crosses.
Thomas Vermaelen 6
Targeted for most of the game and given little support, but remained reasonably robust in an unfamiliar position.
Mikel Arteta 5
Neat and tidy as ever but made little impact on a night when Arsenal were desperately crying out for some creativity.
Jack Wilshere 7
Silky in possession and always showed desire to take the game to Munich.
Aaron Ramsey 5
Saw a lot of possession but never really looked dangerous, despite good work rate. Subbed.
Santi Cazorla 5
Had a poor night on the flanks with final ball unusually poor.
Lukas Podolski 6
Struggled to get involved but kept his cool to head in a potential lifeline. Subbed.
Theo Walcott 5
Isolated for long periods and never took the few chances to exploit his pace.
Substitutes: Olivier Giroud 5, Tomas Rosicky 6
Bayern Munich:
Neuer 6, Lahm 7, Van Buyten 6, Dante 6, Alaba 7, Martinez 7, Schweinsteiger 6, Kroos 7 (Gustavo 6), Muller 6, Ribery 5 (Robben 7), Mandzukic 6 (Gomez 5)
