Young not ruling out Rio

Ashley Young believes Rio Ferdinand could still feature for England again despite the defender's admission his international career looks to be over.

Ferdinand was controversially omitted from Roy Hodgson's initial squad for Euro 2012 and suffered another snub when youngster Martin Kelly was called up to replace the injured Gary Cahill.
The Manchester United centre-back has said, while he will not retire from the international stage, he feels his days playing for his country could be over following his exclusion.
But United team-mate Young, who is expected to feature when England take on France in Monday's Euro opener, feels he could don the Three Lions jersey again.
Asked about Ferdinand's England future, Young said: "He's said that he's not going to retire and he's a fantastic player.
"I've played with him this season and for England in previous seasons and he's a great player to play alongside.
"He's disappointed he's not in the squad but it's not for me to pick the squad, it's the manager."

Rooney

Another of Young's United team-mates, Wayne Rooney, will not feature on Monday due to suspension, which rules him out of England's first two games.
Despite his ban, Young insists Rooney's presence in the Three Lions camp is a positive one.
"He's a world-class player and it's disappointing not to have him for the first two games but we've got to get on with it," added Young.
"He's been in the squad, keeping everyone happy, and that's the importance of having him round even though he's not playing the two games."
