Fashion Show Review: Rachel Roy Resort Collection 2013

Rachel Roy presented her latest Resort 2013 collection to the industry, in New York City this past week.

This 21-piece women’s wear collection was a wonderfully inspired presentation, where the focused inspiration originated from iconic artworks by, painter and textile designer, Sonia Delaunay. Therefore the main components of these looks included fantastic bold color-blocking and printed textiles. Moreover, incorporated into multiple textiles were black-and-white mixed geometric patterns. Vibrant colors featured throughout the various apparel pieces included: yellow, royal blue, cream, orange, and teal. This collection could be described as playful, mod and modern.
Trendy attire introduced during the 2013 Resort presentation included: versatile frocks, a long-sleeved crepe shift dress, a bejeweled white number, a two-piece jacquard, various intriguing button-up blouses, straight-leg pants, many sweet summer skirts and a few glamorous cocktails dresses. Additionally Rachel Roy collaborated with spiritual advisor Deepak Chopra on her jewelry line, which included cuffs, collar necklaces and moonstone-based accesssories.
