Young focused on Euros

England forward reflects on Norway victory
Ashley Young was delighted to make a positive first impression on Roy Hodgson in Norway, aiding England's Euro 2012 preparations in the process.

The Manchester United winger got Hodgson's reign as Three Lions boss off to the best possible start on Saturday, as he netted after just minutes.
His early effort proved to be the match-winner and extended an impressive international scoring streak.
Young was understandably delighted to be back among the goals, allowing him to stake a claim for a regular starting berth, but admits the collective cause is more important than personal achievement.
He told Sky Sports: "Getting on the scoresheet is always nice. It's all about preparing for the Euros now and I think we have done that in the right way.

Positives

"Every game is vitally important and it's important that good things come out of them. I think there were plenty of positives to come out of the game.
"I think we kept our shape, defended as a team and the combinations throughout the team and the work rate from start to finish was terrific as well."
Hodgson opted to start Young in a deep-lying role just off lone frontman Andy Carroll and he feels that partnership could serve England well in the future.
Young added: "I think it went well. The goal came from our one-two, which is nice, and there were some good combinations. We felt we could play together and we have done that tonight
